The Grimes Family

Michelle and I are both native North Carolinians. I surrendered to God’s calling on my life at 17 years of age in a missions conference. Michelle and I met in high school during our junior year and married four years later in May of 1992.

In 1996 I graduated from Southeastern Free Will Baptist College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a double major in Bible and Missions. Since then God has given me the privilege of serving in evangelism, at a Christian School as well as serving as a senior pastor for 12 years.

God has blessed me with a wonderful wife who has been a great asset. Michelle is “down to earth” and enjoys laughter and having a good time. She has a desire to use her life to serve those who are medically ill as well as those who are spiritually sick. Currently she serves as a nurses assistant and hopes to become more involved in the medical field. This will enable her to meet and minister to many people who need the love of God during some of the most difficult times of their lives.

During our marriage God has blessed us with 3 wonderful children. Charity is the oldest and our only girl. She has a special gift in working with children and the elderly. Though she is planning to go to college to prepare for God’s will as we begin Flagship, she will still remain a vital part of our ministry while she’s at home and serve as a prayer partner while she’s away. Isaiah is pictured in the middle and he is our youngest. Isaiah is very outgoing and is not shy about inviting people to church. He loves sports and will be a great benefit to Flagship as our family begins to build relationships with the people of Erie. Luke is our middle child and he is the musician of the family. He plays the guitar and shows a great interest in learning other instruments. He plays and sings on a regular basis in church and will be very helpful in this area as Flagship begins.

We are thankful for our past experiences and believe that God has used each of them to prepare us for this work! Please pray for the Grimes family as they plant Flagship Free Will Baptist Church.
